This background continues to shape a practice combining the editing techniques of audiovisual post-production with modular synthesis, field recording and an experimental approach rooted in DIY culture.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2020, he has developed his solo project <a href=\"https:\/\/aheadacheaday.com\/home\/\">AHEADACHEADAY<\/a>, releasing music through labels including Mosaique, Lustpoderosa, Relish Recordings, Whypeopledance, Mystic Transfers, Details Sound and Confused Machines. He has worked with C.A.R., Toulouse Low Trax, Anatolian Weapons, Lamusa II and Sie Medway-Smith. Across this and earlier projects, he has been credited on more than 40 releases.<\/p>\n<p>Together with Sie, he also works as Arrivals. In 2025, the duo travelled to Sado Island, Japan, to record with the legendary taiko ensemble Kod\u014d. The resulting project, <em>Between the Islands<\/em>, was created live and without rehearsals at the Kod\u014d Keiko-ba, bringing electronic instruments and modular synthesis into dialogue with taiko, shakuhachi and voice.<\/p>\n<p>Alberto has performed across Europe and the United States, with appearances at venues and festivals including Salon des Amateurs in D\u00fcsseldorf, Murmur in Amsterdam, Good Room in New York, Sameheads in Berlin and Schwing und Stampf in Luzern. He has also participated in artist residencies and collaborative programmes at Best Kept Secret Festival in Tilburg, Centre d\u2019art Bienne and Luisa Catucci Gallery in Berlin.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2021, Alberto has curated and hosted <em>TOCCO<\/em>, his monthly residency on Amsterdam\u2019s Echobox Radio. He has also appeared on Kiosk Radio, Refuge Worldwide, Mutant Radio, Operator, Internet Public Radio and Radio Raheem. In 2023, he co-curated the programme of Linea, an independent radio station and concept store inside Milan\u2019s Cairoli metro station.<\/p>\n<p>Alberto\u2019s practice also extends into exhibition and installation contexts. Selected projects include <em>History and Evolution of the GG Logo<\/em> at the Gucci Gallery in Ginza, Tokyo; Corrado Abate\u2019s <em>Wunderkammer<\/em> at Casa Testori in Milan; Alice Pedroletti\u2019s <em>OPS<\/em> at MLAC and at the French Embassy in Rome; and Matete Martini\u2019s <em>Eis Caf\u00e9 Martini<\/em> for <em>CENSURA<\/em> at Artphilein Foundation in Lugano.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside his independent artistic practice, Alberto works as a sound designer, composer and music consultant for film, television, advertising, fashion and audiovisual projects. His professional work includes projects for Fox (including a two-time Sky Award-winning production), Sky, MTV, La7, National Geographic, Discovery, Sony and Volvo. His work within the fashion industry includes projects with Gucci, Diesel, St\u00e9phane Ashpool and Agn\u00e8s B.<\/p>\n<p>His wider experience includes educational work with Solent University in Southampton and collaborations with creative studios such as GoLab in Milan and FFONO in Rotterdam. He has written for Mid-Cult, contributed to beta-testing programmes for Endlesss and Soundive, and worked with music-technology brands including Ableton and Shure.
